CONNOLLY QUARTER MASTER PLAN

East of the Connolly Station in Dublin City Centre a major development project will be realised on underused operational railway lands. A planning application has been made in June 2011 by IMG Planning Limited. Bakkala Consulting Engineers is one of the parties in the multi-disciplinary team.

The project involves the redevelopment of the site to provide 81,500 sq. m. of mixed commercial, residential community and leisure uses comprising 50,200 sq. m. of office accommodation; 106 apartments; a hotel; retail and restaurants and a crèche.

The development will create a new employment and residential quarter within Dublin City Centre adjacent to the Docklands area around a new street in buildings ranging in height between two and seven storeys that incorporate existing historic structures.
